Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will implement treatment plans, document progress, and educate patients and families on exercises and safety.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and contribute to an environment that emphasizes patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years
• Licenses: Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification; CPR preferred

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercises, safety precautions, and strategies to support progress at home.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
