Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under the direction of a Physical Therapist in a collaborative environment. You will implement treatment plans, assist in evaluating patient needs, and contribute to comprehensive care for patients across their rehabilitation journey.

The role emphasizes maintaining documentation, communicating progress to supervising therapists, and guiding patients and families on safe exercise practices for continued progress at home.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification, preferred
• Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation)
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings
• Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Other duties as assigned.
