Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA provides therapeutic interventions within an interdisciplinary care team, aligning with professional standards and ethical practice.

Required is a degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program, and a current state PTA license (CPR certification preferred).

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current PTA license or certification.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification. Current valid CPR certification, preferred.

Education

Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
