Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Saddle River, NJ is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) for a PRN position in our assisted living community. You will support PTs with treatment plans, provide direct patient care, and help maintain therapy services Monday through Friday with no evenings or weekends.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in PTA, state licensure or eligibility, and strong communication and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists; provide direct patient care including exercises.
• Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, educate patients and families.
• Accurately document treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
