Trinity Health is seeking a Relief Physical Therapy Assistant for an Inpatient Rehab Facility in Muskegon. The role supports the evaluating physical therapist and delivers a medically prescribed PT program under supervision.
You will train patients and families, contribute to discharge planning, and monitor patient status within the licensed scope. Minimum qualifications include an accredited PTA program diploma, MI PTA licensure or eligibility, and BLS.

The physical therapist assistant will work with the evaluating physical therapist to administer a medically prescribed physical therapy program for their assigned patients/clients. They will provide care under the supervision of the physical therapist responsible for a specific patient's/client's care.
Providing treatment and services within their license's scope, and as required by law and regulation. Accountable for the implementation of a written treatment plan and administers treatment for each patient according to the stated goals. Helps train patients and the patient's family in the use of medical equipment and make recommendations for appropriate equipment as necessary. Participates in planning for patient discharge by considering and communicating with patients, families, and community. Continuously assesses patient's status and effects of treatment when warranted. Reviews goals with patient and family as appropriate during plan of care.
Must be a graduate from a physical therapist assistant training program accredited by American Physical Therapy Association. Required: Associate degree State of Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date. American Heart Association BLS or equivalent
