Job summary

Morristown Post Acute Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will assist Physical Therapists with treatment plans, support patients recovering from cardiac, orthopedic, renal, and pulmonary conditions.

In a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, you will educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality care in a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in the implementation of treatment plans, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions
• Conduct treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, including gait training, balance exercises, and transfer activities
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and provide guidance on proper techniques
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans
• Collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive care
