PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assesses the needs of residents with physical therapy needs and matches their needs with services available. Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.

Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills and licensure.

• Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs.
• Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents, staff and family members under the supervision of the Physical Therapist so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
