Job summary

Florence Hand Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation in LaGrange, Georgia seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a supportive team under a PT. The PTA provides treatment, assists with referrals, and handles documentation and daily progress notes with PT co-signature.

• Document patient participation and progress with a co-signature from the PT.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications, and discharges are obtained.
• Complete other documentation per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT, according to state practice guidelines
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly
• Document patient's daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the PT
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications, and discharges
• Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
