Position Overview

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) reports to a Physical Therapist. The role provides therapeutic interventions within an interdisciplinary environment consistent with qualifications and ethical standards.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, valid state PTA licensure or certification
• Valid CPR certification preferred

• Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
• 0–1 year of experience

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and home progress support.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, offering additional observations and insights.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
