Job summary

Capitol Home Health in Central Texas is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver high-quality rehabilitative services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will work with patients who have musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs, promoting excellent customer service while complying with standards.

You will serve Bastrop, La Grange and Flatonia and surrounding counties, providing care across the Austin Metro area as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have PTA degree and be certified/licensed to practice in the state of employment.
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• CPR certification with in-person skills evaluation and maintaining valid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality rehabilitative services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Promote excellent patient service while adhering to state and federal standards; maintain patient records.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing quality rehabilitative services under the direction and supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist. The PTA will be working with patients that have musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary deficiencies. PTA will promote excellent customer service while adhering to state and federal standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
• Current and unencumbered certification or license to practice physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of employment.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Possess and maintain valid CPR certification. Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.
• Access to reliable transportation.
