Qualifications

Job Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Licenses and Certifications: Must hold and maintain a current, valid state PTA license or certification. CPR certification is preferred.

Education and Experience: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. 0-1 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans created by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities (heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Monitor and document patient responses, report progress and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercises, safety, and home strategies.
• Assist Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
