Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation outpatient program in Fairfield, ME. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a focus on neurology-driven rehabilitation and patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified physical therapy assistant training program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license to practice in Maine.
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to neurological injuries.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the use of assistive devices per the treatment plan.
• Assist Physical Therapist in collecting outcome measures and completing complex treatment procedures.
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided.
• Maintain knowledge of the APTA Practice Act and Code of Ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Information

• Degree from a certified physical therapy assistant training program
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
• Current CPR certification

Salary Range

USD $31.00 / Hour
