Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Fairfield, ME is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for outpatient neuro rehab. The role offers a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

You will provide 1:1 care in 60-minute sessions and support functional neurological rehabilitation under a Physical Therapist. The ideal candidate holds a PTA degree and current licensure, with at least 1 year of neurologic injury experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1:1 patient care in 60-minute sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of care provided.
• Knowledge of APTA Practice Act and Code of Ethics.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and use of assistive devices per the treatment plan.
• Assist Physical Therapist in outcome measurement collection and complex procedures.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and activities.
• Participate in program evaluation and development.
• Maintain documentation of all care provided.
• Adhere to ethical standards and scope of practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist
• Assist Physical Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment proceduresl>
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the APTA Practice Act and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Job Information

• Degree from a certified physical therapy assistant training program
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
• Current CPR certification

Salary Range

USD $31.00 / Hour
