Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services in partnership with Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver 1:1 patient care in 60-minute sessions, focusing on functional rehabilitation for adults with neurological injuries.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team in an innovative outpatient setting, applying the latest technologies and maintaining rigorous documentation while supporting patient-centered outcomes and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified physical therapy assistant training program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application.
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist Physical Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures.
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided.
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the APTA Practice Act and Code of Ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
