Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. The schedule runs Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–7:00 PM with no weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Participates in staff meetings and development programs.
• Supervises clinical support staff as permitted by the Physical Therapy Practice Act.
• Accurately documents services rendered in charge/statistical records.
• Provides therapeutic interventions per established treatment plans.
• Assists therapists with patient surveys within scope of practice.
• Maintains comprehensive written/electronic documentation of clinical services.
• Rotates through treatment areas as needed.
• Gives objective feedback to supervisors on department performance and emergencies.
• Schedules to meet or exceed facility productivity standards.
• Implements treatment programs and adjusts based on patient status.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participates in staff meetings, development programs, and committees.

• Provides therapeutic interventions based on physical therapist-developed treatment programs for all age groups.
• Assists physical therapists in patient surveys within the scope of practice.
