Job summary

HealthPRO Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, seeks a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a school-based role in Cicero, IL. The PTA will support students in grades K-8, approximately 23 hours per week, onsite in a K-8 setting.

Under supervision of a licensed PT, you will help improve mobility, strength, and functional skills for successful school participation. This part-time position offers onsite schedule, competitive hourly pay, and part-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or licensure eligible.
• Strong assessment and diagnostic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
• Monitor and document patient progress and educate patients and families on treatment protocols.
• Document patient treatments and progress in compliance with policies and standards.
• Collaborate closely with therapists and school staff to coordinate patient care.

HealthPro Pediatrics is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a part-time, onsite school-based opportunity in Cicero, Illinois. This position provides approximately 23 hours per week supporting students in grades K-8.

The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, strength, coordination, and functional skills needed to participate successfully in the school environment.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists. Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
• Treatment and Education: Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
