Job summary

The Canton Center For Nursing and Healing is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a per-diem basis in Canton, Georgia. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support evaluation, treatment planning, and delivery of physical therapy services.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient evaluations, implementing plans, documenting progress, and communicating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or related field.
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and other software systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapist with patient evaluations, assessments, and treatments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct physical therapy treatments, including modalities, exercises, and other interventions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area.
• Meet productivity and quality standards established by the Physical Therapist.

Summary of the Role:
