Job summary

Medical Facilities Of America, Inc.'s Adelphi Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time role. You will provide direct patient care, assess functional status, and help implement rehab plans under physician direction.

A $7,500 retention bonus is available, with competitive wages, PTO and insurance. Experience in long-term or geriatric care is preferred; licensure requirements apply. Collaborative team environment with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care to assess medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and rehabilitation potential.
• Administer a treatment program with goals determined by the patient’s capacity and tolerance under physician direction.
• Document and record patient condition and educate patients and families in physical therapy methods.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered treatment and care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
