Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides safe and effective therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist across various settings, assisting patients with physical illnesses, injuries, disabilities, or age-related conditions.

Expectations
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and service.
  • Progress patient care plans established by the physical therapist.
  • Communicate with physicians via progress notes and discharge summaries.
  • Coordinate with supervising PT regarding treatment plans and discharge.
  • Supervise rehabilitation aides and support staff as needed.
  • Participate in community services, such as health fairs, presentations, and screenings.
  • Complete all documentation promptly, including progress notes, discharge summaries, and insurance paperwork.
  • Develop professional relationships with referral sources, including physicians and community contacts.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state.
  • Associates degree from an accredited PTA program.
  • CPR certification and AED training.
  • At least 2 years outpatient experience preferred.
