Job summary

Pate Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This role supports patient care by assisting with exercises, ambulation, and functional activities under the Physical Therapist's plan.

Responsibilities include aiding with evaluations, educating patients and families, documenting care, and contributing to program evaluation while adhering to the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Texas is required.
• Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications.

• Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the use of assistive devices as per the treatment plan.
• Assist Physical Therapist in patient evaluations and complex treatment procedures.
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided.
• Maintain knowledge of the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Code of Ethics.

• Assist Physical Therapist in the execution of patient evaluations and complex treatment procedures
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the Physical Therapy Practice Ace and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned
