The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our evolving rehabilitation team. The PTA will administer treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, supporting a high-quality, patient-focused care environment designed for short-term patients seeking a luxury, five-star experience.

Candidate must hold a valid Florida PTA license and demonstrate strong documentation and collaboration with all disciplines.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Florida PTA license/registration.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under Physical Therapist supervision.
• Experience with long-term care or geriatric populations preferred.
• Strong documentation skills and timely progress notes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best-practice PTA treatments under PT supervision.
• Provide treatment per goals set by the PT and document progress.
• Record weekly progress notes and communicate patient status.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for optimal patient care.
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality and adherence to schedule.
• Perform duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for carrying out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the PT. As well, the PTA must provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist via documentation or in any other method required by facility policy.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling is preferred however not limited to.

Shift Needs:

Full Time.
