The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our revitalized rehabilitation team. Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will deliver evidence-based treatments and ensure patient progress is well documented and communicated.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Florida PTA license.
• Provide treatments under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Experience in long-term or geriatric care preferred.
• Accurate weekly progress notes and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with all disciplines.
• Punctual, professional, and adherent to confidentiality.
• Familiar with HIPAA and residents' rights.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under PT supervision.
• Provide treatment guided by goals developed by the PT.
• Provide feedback to supervising PT via documentation.
• Attend to patient progress and report timely weekly notes.
• Collaborate with disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Adhere to facility policies and schedule.
• Perform other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for carrying out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the PT. As well, the PTA must provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist via documentation or in any other method required by facility policy.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling is preferred however not limited to.

Shift Needs:

Full Time.
