Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitative team. Working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will deliver treatment plans and provide feedback through timely documentation to support patient progress.

Candidate should hold a valid FL PTA license, with preference for experience in long-term or geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered treatment and care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment by adhering to goals developed by the PT.
• Provide feedback to supervising PT via documentation or other facility-approved methods.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Comply with confidentiality, HIPAA, and Federal Residents Rights.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for carrying out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the PT. As well, the PTA must provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist via documentation or in any other method required by facility policy.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist

• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence

• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling is preferred however not limited to.
