Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a dedicated rehabilitation team. The PTA provides treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, ensuring goals are met and progress is documented in a timely manner.

Experience with long-term care or geriatric populations is preferred. Candidates must maintain professional licensure in Florida and collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid FL PTA license and registration.
• Provide treatments under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Experience in long-term care/geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation skills and timely progress notes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Punctual, professional, and compliant with confidentiality and residents' rights.
• Experience with PPS scheduling or case mix index preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatments per PT plan.
• Document patient progress weekly.
• Maintain professional conduct and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team.
• Ensure HIPAA and residents' rights compliance.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for carrying out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the PT. As well, the PTA must provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist via documentation or in any other method required by facility policy.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling is preferred however not limited to.

Shift Needs:

Full Time.
