Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our growing rehabilitation team. This role supports high-quality care in a luxury, short-term environment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The PTA will deliver treatments, document patient progress weekly, and collaborate with all disciplines to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Florida PTA license and registration.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Physical Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation and timely weekly progress notes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Demonstrates professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment per goals developed by the PT.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes as required by policy.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver best patient-centered care.
• Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and Residents' Rights.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for carrying out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the PT. As well, the PTA must provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist via documentation or in any other method required by facility policy.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
• Experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling is preferred however not limited to.

Shift Needs:

Full Time.
