Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences, and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
2. Deliver rehab services effectively and efficiently; adhere to established care plans, department, and patient schedules, and document services timely.
3. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to implement programs suited to each patient's needs and capabilities.
4. Assist the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
5. Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in physical therapy techniques under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all treated patients.
7. Maintain, identify, and report equipment needs and repairs.
8. Implement individualized treatment plans as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
9. Provide treatments such as therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual therapy, and use of modalities.
10. Organize and facilitate treatment groups in collaboration with the physical therapist.
11. Assist in marketing the rehab department.
12. In emergency or pandemic situations, duties may be adjusted to serve as frontline staff to meet resident needs.
13. Perform all other duties as assigned.
