Hillcrest Home in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant for a part-time role. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and help implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

The position supports residents across skilled nursing, inpatient, and outpatient care, focusing on ADLs, rehabilitation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Must pass the National Physical Therapy Exam and meet state licensing requirements.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or similar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement treatment plans, observe and document patient progress.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living to improve independence.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions in geriatrics, pediatrics, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

-Job Description-

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. You will play a crucial role in assisting patients with activities of daily living and promoting their overall health and well-being.

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist and observe / document progress
• Assist patients with ADLs to enhance their independence and quality of life.
• Provide therapeutic interventions in various settings, including geriatrics, pediatrics, inpatient, and outpatient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize medical imaging and other diagnostic tools to inform treatment decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic process and strategies for continued improvement.
• Stay current with best practices in occupational health and rehabilitation.

-Job Requirements-

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical therapist Assistant Program
• Must pass the National Physical Therapy Exam and meet state-specific licensing or certification requirements
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and occupational health principles
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or similar environments is preferred
• Familiarity with developing care plans for diverse patient populations, including those with acute conditions or chronic illnesses
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions
• Previous experience in home health or clinic settings is a plus
