Job Summary

Administers various physical therapy programs under the guidelines established by a Licensed Physical Therapist to facilitate rehabilitation of physically disabled patients, aiming to maximize function and independence. The role involves directing patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance, and facilitating learning.

Accountabilities

1. Provides physical therapy treatments following established plans, under supervision of a physical therapist, considering patient age and educational level, and accurately assessing patient responses to treatment.
2. Assists with measurements and documentation, including billing and electronic records, under therapist supervision.
3. Maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with hospital and departmental safety standards.
4. Demonstrates professionalism in clinical practice, aligning with ProMedica’s mission and values in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current State license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• CPR Certification
