Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to support our physical therapy team alongside experienced Physical Therapists. We welcome applicants with 2+ years of PTA experience and an active license in the state.

The role requires an Associate degree (preferred) and may be filled full-time or part-time. Bilingual Spanish speakers are preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment in Oak Brook, IL.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (preferred).
• Licensed PTA with current state license.
• 1 year of licensed PTA clinical experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Carry out day-to-day patient assignments per state laws and practice guidelines.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to assure continuity of care.
• Report patient findings to the Physical Therapist and physician as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time (preferred), Part-time

Essential characteristics:

• The PTA will be responsible for the care delivery of patients, carried out within the scope of practice, defined by the state laws and the state Board of Physical Therapy
• Directly carries out the day-to-day patient assignments with the oversight and guidance by the Physical Therapist;
• Conducts physical therapy care within the scope of practice, as well as agency policies and regulations;
• Consistently follows company policies and procedures;
• Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, accreditation and local standards, rules and regulations;
• Participates in personal professional growth and development;
• Participates with the interdisciplinary team to assure coordination of care and continuity of care delivery
• Reports all changes to patient findings to the Physical Therapist, as well as the physician where applicable
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday with 2 evenings until 6:30p
