Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to support our physical therapy team alongside our orthopedic surgery practice. The role requires licensed PTA status or pending licensure, with 1 year of PTA experience preferred and Spanish language ability preferred.

The position offers full-time (preferred) or part-time options in a hands-on clinical setting serving patients of all ages as part of a thriving orthopedic program.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Licensed PTA or pending licensure required.
• 1 year of licensed PTA experience preferred.
• Spanish language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Carry out day-to-day patient assignments within scope and policies.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Report changes in patient findings to the Physical Therapist and physician as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for an expert physical therapy assistant with 2+ years of experience.

Job Type: Full-time (preferred), Part-time

Essential Characteristics

• The PTA will be responsible for the care delivery of patients, carried out within the scope of practice, defined by the state laws and the state Board of Physical Therapy
• Directly carries out the day-to-day patient assignments with the oversight and guidance by the Physical Therapist;
• Conducts physical therapy care within the scope of practice, as well as agency policies and regulations;
• Consistently follows company policies and procedures;
• Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, accreditation and local standards, rules and regulations;
• Participates in personal professional growth and development;
• Participates with the interdisciplinary team to assure coordination of care and continuity of care delivery
• Reports all changes to patient findings to the Physical Therapist, as well as the physician where applicable
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule

• Monday to Friday with 2 evenings until 6:30p
