Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to support our therapists in a growing orthopedic practice. We value experienced PTAs with a patient‑centered approach and a commitment to high-quality care.

Full-time (preferred) or part-time positions are available. The PTA will work under the guidance of Physical Therapists and participate in ongoing professional development. Benefits include a comprehensive package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Licensed PTA or pending license is required.
• 1 year licensed PTA clinical experience preferred.
• Spanish (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy care under the supervision and guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Carry out day-to-day patient assignments within the scope of practice and agency guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with applicable policies, regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Report changes to patient findings to the Physical Therapist and physician when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential characteristics:

• The PTA will be responsible for the care delivery of patients, carried out within the scope of practice, defined by the state laws and the state Board of Physical Therapy
• Directly carries out the day-to-day patient assignments with the oversight and guidance by the Physical Therapist;
• Conducts physical therapy care within the scope of practice, as well as agency policies and regulations;
• Consistently follows company policies and procedures;
• Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, accreditation and local standards, rules and regulations;
• Participates in personal professional growth and development;
• Participates with the interdisciplinary team to assure coordination of care and continuity of care delivery
• Reports all changes to patient findings to the Physical Therapist, as well as the physician where applicable
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday with 2 evenings until 6:30p

Education:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• licensed PTA clinical: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:
