Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Indiana in Mishawaka, part of Ernest Health, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient rehab team. Working under a supervising physical therapist, you will assist with plans, monitor patient responses, and help patients regain mobility and independence in daily activities.

Ideal candidates hold active PTA licensure, BLS/CPR certification, and hospital-based patient care experience.

Formación

• Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor.
• One year of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Demonstrates understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.
• Demonstrates competency in the provision of care according to established standards.
• Demonstrates appropriate age-specific standards for pediatric to geriatric patients.
• General computer skills (data entry, word processing, email, record management).
• Leadership in delegating, organizing, and educating coworkers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with others professionally.
• Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.

Responsabilidades

• Under the direction of a physical therapist, implement treatment plans with patients.
• Perform components of physical therapy procedures and report outcomes to the supervising PT.
• Integrate the hospital’s mission and guiding principles into daily practice.
