Job Overview

Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise techniques. Guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities. Works with minimal supervision and may mentor staff.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Associate's/Technical Degree preferred
• Two years' technical experience preferred
• Experience in acute care, outpatient, or therapy settings preferred

• Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice (Required)
• CPR or BLS certification (Required)
• Valid Driver's License and age at least 21 (Required)

Essential Functions

• Perform physical therapy treatments, instruct patients in functional activities
• Follow treatment precautions, monitor patient responses, report changes
• Document interventions and services in patient charts
• Educate and train patients and caregivers, assess learning responses
• Perform other duties as assigned
