Position Overview

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:

• Administer the physical therapy treatment plan developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Perform therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, heat, cold, water, and electrical modalities.
• Document patient records accurately and submit paperwork on time.
• Attend educational meetings and contribute to departmental in-services.
• Report equipment failures, supply shortages, and other departmental issues.
• Schedule patients and perform office tasks.
• Follow infection control protocols and universal precautions.
• Accept clinical assignments within your education and competence.
• Promote compliance with third-party payors through education and coaching.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Minimum of two years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Knowledge of geriatric population changes.
• Self-motivated, receptive to feedback, and professional communication skills.
• Compliance with continuing education and licensure requirements.
• Flexible schedule and ability to travel locally.
• Fluent in English, with good attendance.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges from $58,400 to $80,000 annually, with additional pay per visit/unit ($37-$52). Benefits include paid time off, 401(k), employee assistance, and more.
