Job summary

Campbell County Health in Gillette, WY is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide patient-centered therapy under a Physical Therapist’s supervision. The PTA will implement treatment plans to improve mobility, restore function, and prevent disability, preparing patients and equipment and documenting progress in the EMR.

Responsibilities include following the plan of care, assisting with exercises, wound care and modalities, and supporting multiple service lines as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Must be licensed in, or be eligible to be licensed, in Wyoming.
• One year experience preferred (not required).
• CPR certification policy referenced in standards may apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Physical Therapist's plan of care and progress patients.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, wound care, and modalities.
• Prepare patients and equipment; document treatment in the EMR.
• Support coverage across CCH service lines as needed.
• Maintain professional standards and compliance with policies.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides patient-centered physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA implements individualized plans of care to improve mobility, restore function, and prevent disability. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, assisting with therapeutic exercises, wound care, and modalities, and documenting treatment in the EMR. Practice is performed in accordance with state regulations, professional standards, and Campbell County Health’s mission and values.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for following the Physical Therapist’s plan of care, performing interventions to meet the goals of the plan, progressing patients appropriately.
• Sees all patients as scheduled and assists with other patient needs throughout the continuum if needed, demonstrating fiscal responsibility, accountability, time management and prioritization skills.
• Completes timely treatment notes with pertinent information, charges, and other pertinent information per CCH policy.
• Works scheduled work hours and participates in weekend coverage to meet patient needs is flexible during times of high and low census and will provide coverage to other CCH service lines as needed.
• Initiates review of patient plans, progress notes, and supervisory meeting with evaluating therapists.
• Provides service excellence to all customers and positive interpersonal relations with all team members.
• Maintains professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing and continuing education.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment that is conducive to high quality care
• Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned. This list is non-exhaustive.
