Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Perform active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, heat, cold, water, and electrical modalities.
• Document client records accurately and submit clinical paperwork on time.
• Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services.
• Report equipment failures, supply shortages, and other departmental issues.
• Schedule clients and perform office tasks.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions.
• Accept clinical assignments suited to your education and competence.
• Promote compliance with third-party payors through education and coaching.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Knowledge of geriatric population changes.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $37.00 - $52.00 per visit/unit; $58,400 - $80,000 annually, based on experience and location.
