Job summary

mbhealthcare is seeking a PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) to join our therapy team in a long-term care setting. The PTA will assist with therapeutic exercises, monitor and document residents' motor function, and help patients perform prescribed activities under PT guidance.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and an active State PTA license, with prior experience in long-term care preferred. We offer equal opportunity employment and a supportive training environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current State PTA License.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record Residents' motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• Observe Residents and write progress reports.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat Residents with techniques such as stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use equipment and devices.
• Educate Residents on proper exercise to strengthen muscle and mobility.
• Maintain Residents' confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Contribute to the therapy team goals.
