Qualifications

• AA or higher degree as Physical Therapist Assistant from an institution accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
• Current State Physical Therapist Assistant License
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Implement components of patient interventions under the direction of a physical therapist and modify progress for safety and effectiveness.
• Provide quality physical therapy services including implementation of the prescribed treatment plan.
• Produce accurate, relevant, and timely documentation based on the therapist's plan of care.
• Communicate treatment progression and follow-up needs to team members as appropriate.
• Educate and counsel patients on treatment, safety risks, and goals within scope of practice.
• Participate in team reassessments and discharge planning.
• Other related duties as assigned
