Job summary

Absolut Care of Aurora Park in East Aurora, NY seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed therapists and help patients achieve mobility and health goals. You will assist with evaluations, treatment plans, and therapeutic activities under supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, educating patients, and collaborating with a care team to ensure comprehensive rehabilitation. PTA certification or willingness to obtain is required or anticipated.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• PTA certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Experience in long-term care is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatment plans, and interventions.
• Conduct exercises, therapies, and activities with patients.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Participate in patient education and rehabilitation programs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
