Job summary

Absolut Care of Aurora Park in East Aurora, NY is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. You will assist with evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, guide patients through exercises, monitor progress, and document outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma (an associate or bachelor's in physical therapy or related field is preferred) and PTA certification or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Certification as a PTA or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Experience in a long-term care setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists with evaluations, plans, and interventions.
Conduct exercises, therapies, and activities with patients.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the therapist.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
