Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school required for eligibility.
• Must hold a valid state Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• CPR Certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in stretching and exercising specific muscle groups.
• Read and follow the Physical Therapist’s instructions.
• Work closely with the Physical Therapist for patient care.
• Communicate with families to identify at-home techniques.

Physical Therapist Assistant – 13 Week Contract

Location: Mahnomen, MN

Company: Big Stone Staffing

Overview

Setting: OP; LTC/SNF; HH
Pay Package: Starting at $1350 per week
Guarantee: 36-hour weekly guarantee
Schedule: Flexible; Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm – No weekends, holidays or call
Start Date: ASAP
Length: 3-6 months+

Responsibilities

• Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
• Read instructions from Physical Therapist
• Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients
• Speak with families to find best at-home techniques
• Keep physical therapy clean and organized
• Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to physical therapy area
• Teach patients techniques like balance training

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapist Assistant
• Valid state Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
• CPR Certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in skilled nursing and/or outpatient settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
