Job description

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Full Time
Kane Community Living Centers – McKeesport | McKeesport, PA
5,000 Sign-On Bonus | Full-Time Benefits | Consistent Schedule
PTA looking for a place where your work—and your experience—matter?

AdvantageCare Rehabilitation is hiring a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Kane Community Living Centers – McKeesport.

Whether you're an experienced PTA looking for a change or a new graduate ready to build your career, this is an opportunity to become part of a team where you can build relationships with your patients, see their progress over time, and make a meaningful difference in their independence and quality of life.

And to welcome the right PTA to our team, we're offering a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Why PTAs Choose AdvantageCare

AdvantageCare Rehabilitation has been providing rehabilitation services for more than 23 years, and we're therapist-founded and therapist-led.

That matters.

Rehabilitation isn't an add-on to what we do. Therapy is what we do. Our leadership understands the clinical side of rehabilitation as well as the importance of having the right support, communication, and teamwork in place for clinicians to succeed.

At Kane McKeesport, you'll have the opportunity to become a consistent member of the rehab team rather than simply filling a schedule.

What You Can Expect

A team where PTAs are valued. You play an important role in carrying out the plan of care, recognizing changes in your patients, and helping them make meaningful functional gains.

Consistent full-time hours. If you're looking for the stability of a full-time position rather than piecing together multiple PRN or part-time schedules, this opportunity offers the chance to establish yourself with one team.

Supportive rehab leadership. You'll work alongside rehabilitation professionals who understand the day-to-day realities of patient care and the importance of communication across the therapy team.

Clinical collaboration. Work closely with PTs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Opportunity to grow. We believe in developing our own people. Whether your goal is to strengthen your clinical skills, mentor others, or eventually explore leadership opportunities, there is room to grow with Advantage.

What Will You Do as a PTA?

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve their strength, mobility, balance, endurance and overall functional independence.

Your day may include:

  • Carrying out individualized physical therapy treatment plans
  • Helping patients improve strength, balance, transfers, gait and functional mobility
  • Providing therapeutic exercise and functional activities
  • Assisting patients with safe use of walkers and other assistive devices
  • Monitoring patient response to treatment and communicating changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educating patients, families and caregivers on mobility and safety strategies
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Documenting treatments and patient progress accurately and timely
  • Encouraging patients through the victories—both big and small—that happen throughout rehabilitation

This is hands-on therapy where you have the opportunity to see the difference you're making.

Why Kane McKeesport?

Working in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment gives PTAs the opportunity to treat an adult and geriatric population with a wide range of functional and mobility needs.

For a PTA who enjoys orthopedic rehabilitation, strengthening, balance, gait training, fall prevention, functional mobility and geriatric care, this type of setting allows you to use a broad range of your clinical skills.

It also gives you something that's harder to find in settings where patients come and go quickly: the opportunity to really get to know the people you're treating and see their progress over time.

If you're someone who enjoys being active, working directly with patients, collaborating with other clinicians and helping people regain their independence, you may feel right at home here.

5,000 Sign-On Bonus + Full-Time Benefits

We're serious about finding the right PTA for this team, and we're offering a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for this Full-Time opportunity.

As a Full-Time AdvantageCare employee, you'll also have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Competitive compensation
  • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
  • Prescription Drug and Telemedicine Coverage
  • Paid Time Off
  • HSA and FSA Options
  • Life Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Free CEU Training Portal
  • $100 Annual License Reimbursement
  • Employee Referral and Recognition Programs
  • Wellness and Employee Engagement Programs
  • Opportunities for professional and leadership growth
Experienced PTA? Let's Talk. New Grad? You Should Apply Too.

Don't count yourself out because you don't have years of skilled nursing experience.

We are interested in meeting both experienced Physical Therapist Assistants and new graduate PTAs who are passionate about patient care and want to become part of a strong rehab team.

If you're an experienced PTA, we want to hear about the knowledge and perspective you can bring to our patients and team.

If you're a new graduate, we're looking for a solid clinical foundation, willingness to learn, strong communication skills, and someone who genuinely enjoys working with people.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current or eligible Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team
  • Skilled nursing, geriatric or rehabilitation experience is a plus, but not required
  • New graduate PTAs are encouraged to apply
