Vertis Therapy is seeking a dedicated Full Time, Part Time, or consistent PRN Physical Therapy Assistant for our assisted living facility in Marion, IN.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) performs physical therapy treatments under the clinical supervision of the Physical Therapist. The PTA collaborates as part of the interdisciplinary team, providing support and information within the scope of Physical Therapy.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Providing physical therapy treatments to patients according to established treatment plans.
• Assisting the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatments.
• Monitoring, recording, and reporting patient conditions, reactions, and responses related to treatment.
• Maintaining treatment records and documenting patient progress as directed.
• Collaborating with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
• Assisting with the care of Physical Therapy department and equipment.
• Supporting in-service programs and meetings as assigned.
• Engaging in continuing education to maintain clinical competence.
• Complying with Vertis Therapy policies, procedures, and all relevant regulations and standards.
• Participating in staff meetings and other organizational activities.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
• Current license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
• Preferably at least one year of rehabilitation experience with similar patient populations.
• Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (state and national) is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy for documentation and related tasks.
• Ability to follow directions from the Physical Therapist and adhere to company policies.
