Job summary

Aura Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled education, treatment, and interventions in home health settings under a physician's plan of care. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide updates to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include direct PT under supervision, clear communication with patients and caregivers, and discharge planning while maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • CPR certification is valid.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct physical therapy following directions from the physical therapist and physician.
  • Communicate regularly with patients and caregivers about the care plan.
  • Deliver treatments, procedures, and skilled therapy services ensuring patient safety.
  • Observe and report patient conditions, reactions, and progress to supervisors and physicians.
  • Assist in pain relief and function restoration to maximize performance.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines on patient care plans.
  • Plan and communicate discharge instructions and prepare for patient discharge.
  • Participate in in-service training and adhere to ethical standards of the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Maintain confidentiality, document clinical notes promptly, and ensure continuity of care.
  • Ensure timely submission of credentials and maintain professional conduct.
