Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Pinehurst, NC seeks a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant Floater for our Outpatient/Regional Rehabilitation Program. You will provide one-on-one therapy across orthopedic, neurologic, balance, and geriatric cases in inpatient and outpatient settings at multiple NC locations including Pinehurst, Rockingham, Troy, Raeford and Sanford.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current NC PTA license.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and motivate patients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
• Experience preferred but new graduate candidates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide One-on-One Therapy using manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and aquatic therapy to deliver personalized care.
• Document Patient Progress and ensure regulatory compliance with accurate records.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care and outcomes.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team of PTs, PTAs, and OTs to support patient needs.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, rehabilitation, and ongoing self-care.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff at all times.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and clinical ladder opportunities.

You'll have the opportunity to provide one-on-one care to a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, neurologic, balance and geriatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings in various locations (Pinehurst, Rockingham, Troy, Raeford & Sanford, NC). • Provide One-on One Therapy: Utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and aquatic therapy, to deliver personalized care.

• Collaborate with Healcare Providers: Work closely with physicians, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage with a Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with a large team of seasoned Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), and Occupational Therapists (OTs).

• Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a supportive and safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Pursue Professional Development: Participate in continuous professional development through continuing education opportunities and clinical ladder opportunities.
