Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join the Outpatient Rehab Clinic in Raeford, NC. You will provide one-on-one therapy to a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, neurologic, balance, geriatric and pain dysfunction patients, in a collaborative team setting.

You will document patient progress, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers, educate patients and families on conditions and rehabilitation, and pursue ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current NC PTA license is required.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one therapy using manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and aquatic therapy.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers for coordinated care.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team of PTs, PTAs, OTs and SLPs.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, rehabilitation and self-care.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and clinical ladder opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide One-on One Therapy: Utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and aquatic therapy, to deliver personalized care.
• Document Patient Progress: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices while maintaining accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with physicians, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage with a Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with a large team of seasoned Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Speech, Language Pathologists (SLPs).
• Educate Patients and Families: Provide education on conditions, rehabilitation and the importance of ongoing self-care.
• Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a supportive and safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Pursue Professional Development: Participate in continuous professional development through continuing education opportunities and clinical ladder opportunities.
