Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Acute Care team in High Point, North Carolina. You will implement PT programs under the direction of a licensed PT and help patients regain independence through therapeutic exercises and activities.

The role emphasizes clinical assessments, data collection, and participation in research-related activities. A valid NC PTA license and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year college program for PTAs approved by the APTA.
• Current license in North Carolina to practice as a PTA.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Carries out physical therapy programs as planned and directed by the physical therapist.
• Train patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living.
• Collect clinical assessment scores, radiographic scores, and QoL data.
• Perform tests/evaluations in clinical/research settings; assess motor skills and ROM.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; support protocol development and data quality.
• Assist in staff meetings, committees, and in-service training activities.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
