Job summary

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush (MOR) in Westchester, IL, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed therapists in outpatient orthopedic care. The role focuses on post-surgical rehab, mobilizing patients, and coordinating care with the PT and medical team in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited PTA program, IL licensure or willingness to apply, CPR certification, and 1–2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a PTA in IL ( or willingness to apply).
• CPR Certified.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Energetic and a team player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional patient care and services.
• Progressing patient's plan of care established by the physical therapist.
• Periodic written and dictated communication to physicians through progress notes and discharge summaries after consulting with supervising PT regarding patient's plan of care.
• Frequent communication with supervising PT regarding appropriate treatment plan, follow-up appointments, and potential discharge for patients.
• Supervising rehabilitation aides with patient care and administrative staff as needed.
• Daily paperwork. All PT Assistants are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts and completing all written communications in a timely manner.

Ready to join in? We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This position will be based at the outpatient rehabilitation clinic located in Westchester, IL. The potential candidate will play a vital role in assisting licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients primarily in orthopedics and post-surgical. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for helping patients regain their mobility and help improve their overall quality of life.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $27-35 per hour. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
