Job summary

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home care team in West Springfield, MA. You will provide skilled PT services in patients’ homes under supervision of a licensed PT, promoting mobility and independence.

We offer flexible scheduling, competitive per-visit pay of $37–$50, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and more; experience in home care preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
• Afternoon availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transfer training and safe mobility techniques.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Your Role as a Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients, caregivers, and their care teams to improve mobility, strength, functional independence, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist

• Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
