Role Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Nashville Metropolitan Area, supporting licensed physical therapists in delivering effective, evidence-informed care. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with treatment sessions, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, and helping implement individualized rehabilitation plans. The role involves monitoring patient progress, documenting treatments accurately, and communicating changes in status to supervising physical therapists. The Physical Therapist Assistant will educate patients on home exercise programs, support safe use of equipment, and contribute to a welcoming, professional clinic environment that reflects the practice’s focus on quality outcomes and patient-centered care.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation to support treatment plans and therapeutic exercise programs.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Patient Care and Quality Patient Care to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective hands-on support.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Orthopedics to assist with musculoskeletal conditions and orthopedic rehabilitation protocols.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as a PTA.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and engage patients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
  • Basic computer and EMR proficiency; prior outpatient orthopedic or balance/vestibular experience is beneficial.
